Royal climbers

Hello everyone !

This is my first game which is not made for a gamejam  in my itch.io. This is an exercise that I wanted to do for my training of Gamecodeur (if you want more information about this training, you can go on gamecodeur.fr or see videos by “David Gamecodeur” on youtube).  During the development, I could test “Tiles” software to make map and develop procedural generation. I also put into practice tweening and creation of sounds. This part was very fun ! And finally, thanks to that I attempted to program a plateformer more complex than I made before ! 

About the project:

For this project, I created a prototype of a platformer game which is a versus-battle royal. The goal of  “royal climbers” is to ejec t other player outside the screen. To reach your goal, players have to climb as quickly as possible to scroll the screen more rapidly.

During this run, you can disturb other player with different malus but also gain bonus. Of course, the easiest way to win is to push your opponent with your hammer :p

Controls:

Player 1 :

•  Left and right arrow to move horizontally
• Up arrow to jump
• 0 key pad to use your hammer
• Q and D key to move horizontally
• Z key to jump
• Space key to jump

The game is only a prototype so there are not all polish that I wanted to add and some bugs are still present. But do not hesitate to try and put comments ! :)
